Souterrain corps/limites est un festival biennal et thématique centré sur l’imaginaire du corps dans le paysage contemporain. L’évènement s’articule autour d’une exposition regroupant une cinquantaine d’artistes ( photographie, peinture, installations, sculpture, art numérique et vidéo art) pour un total d’environ 300 œuvres exposées. Autour de cette exposition qui dure environ 1 mois, nous organisons un colloque autour du thème ainsi qu’une semaine de spectacles vivants (performances, théâtre physique, happenings, danse, concerts…) regroupant des artistes internationaux, sous le label International Body Art Festival et un festival de courts-métrages et films sous l’intitulé Hybrid Film Fest (HFF). En 2009 aura lieu la cinquième édition qui se déroulera du 11 septembre au 3 octobre sur le Thème : "Robot, Hybride, Cyborg".Expositions :11 septembre au 3 octobre. International Body Art Festival : du 29 septembre au 3 octobre.Colloque : 30 septembre et 1er octobre. L’ensemble de la manifestation se tiendra au T.O.T.E.M lieu de résidence de la compagnie Materia Prima, à Maxéville devant Nancy. Une vaste friche industrielle de 6000 m2 divisée en différents espaces intérieurs et extérieurs. Ont déjà participés au festival Souterrain : Ron Athey, Lukas Zpira, Stelarc, Marceli Antunez, Tiger Lillies, Empress Stah, Von Magnet, Do Theatre, Maria Betty, Ten Pen Chii, Zuka Off, Yann Mihn, Gilles Berquet, Romain Slocombe, AlienNation, William Ropp, Marie L., Waï Pi Waï, Cocoon, Punish Yourself, Reed 013,Gnom, Ali Madavi et de nombreux autres artistes …. Souterrain is a thematic festival focused on the imaginary of the body in the contemporary landscape. A cross-over between art, science and imaginary. The event, revolved around an exhibition, brought together about 50 artists forabout 300 works on display (photo, painting, sculpture, installation, digitaland video art,...)
Around this exhibition (which lasts 1 month), is also organized conférences, oneweek of live shows (performances, physical theater, happenings, dance, concerts,...) gathering international artists under the label "INTERNATIONAL BODY-ARTFESTIVAL" and a film festival Under the label HYBRID FILM FEST(HFF).In 2009 will be the Vth édition between september 11 to october 3The central thème of this year is : Robots, Hybrids, Cyborgs, Exhibitions : September 11 to October 3, 2009.International Body Art Festival: September 25 to October 3 2009.Conferences : September 30 and October 1, 2009.The entire event is held at the "Totem", managed by the company Materia Prima,in Maxeville (closed to Nancy - East France), a vast industrial wasteland of 6000 m2, divided into different spaces which offers many possibilities.
